Trunk / Liftgate Lock: Testing and Inspection
LIFTGATE LATCH AND LOCK ACTUATOR INSPECTION
Liftgate Lock Actuator
1. Apply battery positive voltage and connect ground to the corresponding liftgate lock actuator terminals, and inspect the liftgate lock actuator
operation.

If not as specified, replace the liftgate latch and lock actuator.
Liftgate Latch switch
1. When inspecting the latch, press the latch lever using a flathead screwdriver or a similar tool.
2. Inspect for continuity between the liftgate latch switch terminals.
