Power Door Lock Actuator: Testing and Inspection
Rear Door Lock Actuator Inspection
REAR DOOR LOCK ACTUATOR INSPECTION
1. Fully open the rear door glass.
2. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
3. Remove the following parts:
a. Rear door trim See: Doors, Hood and Trunk/Doors/Rear Door/Rear Door Panel/Service and Repair/Removal and Replacement
b. Rear door speaker See: Accessories and Optional Equipment/Radio, Stereo, and Compact Disc/Speaker/Service and Repair/Rear Door
Speaker Removal/Installation
c. Rear door quarter glass See: Doors, Hood and Trunk/Doors/Rear Door/Rear Door Window Glass/Service and Repair/Rear Door Quarter
Glass Removal/Installation
d. Rear door glass See: Doors, Hood and Trunk/Doors/Rear Door/Rear Door Window Glass/Service and Repair/Rear Door Glass
Removal/Installation
e. Rear door module panel See: Doors, Hood and Trunk/Doors/Rear Door/Service and Repair/Rear Door Module Panel Removal/Installation
f.
Rear door latch and lock actuator See: Doors, Hood and Trunk/Doors/Rear Door/Rear Door Latch/Service and Repair
4. Apply battery positive voltage and connect the ground to each terminal, and then verify the operation.

If not as indicated in the table, replace the rear door latch and lock actuator.
