DESCRIPTION
Some vehicles with higher mileage may exhibit a squeak/rattle noise from the exhaust system's converter flange area. The noise may be caused by
tension between the seal ring and mating surface.
Customers having this concern should have their vehicle repaired using the following repair procedure.
REPAIR PROCEDURE
WARNING:
As with all exhaust system repairs, please carry out each step with special attention towards avoiding exhaust leakage that might cause deadly carbon
monoxide to escape at any point under the vehicle.
NOTE:
Be sure to follow the repair procedure, otherwise, the symptom will recur.
1. Verify customer concern.
2. Safely lift vehicle on hoist.
