EGR Valve: Service and Repair
EGR VALVE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [L5]
1. Disconnect the negative battery cable. See: Starting and Charging/Battery/Service and Repair/Removal and Replacement
2. Drain the engine coolant from the radiator. See: Engine, Cooling and Exhaust/Cooling System/Coolant/Service and Repair
3. Remove the air cleaner and the air hose as a single unit. See: Engine, Cooling and Exhaust/Engine/Intake Manifold/Service and Repair
4. Remove the radiator hose (upper, engine side). See: Engine, Cooling and Exhaust/Cooling System/Radiator/Service and Repair
5. Disconnect the EGR valve connector.
6. Remove in the order indicated in the table.
7. Install in the reverse order of removal.
