Wiper Switch: Removal and Replacement
Combination Switch Removal/Installation
COMBINATION SWITCH REMOVAL/INSTALLATION
CAUTION:
-
If the disc on the combination switch is deformed or has foreign material adhering to it, performance of the steering angle sensor may be reduced,
causing abnormal operation. Do not remove the clock spring except when replacing the combination switch.
1. Disconnect the negative battery cable and wait 1 min or more.
2. Remove the following parts:
a. Driver-side air bag module See: Restraint Systems/Air Bag Systems/Air Bag/Service and Repair/Removal and Replacement/Passenger-Side

b. Steering wheel See: Steering and Suspension/Steering/Steering Column/Service and Repair/Steering Wheel And Column Removal/Installation
- Without Advanced Keyless Entry And Push Button Start System See: Steering and Suspension/Steering/Steering Column/Service and
Repair/Steering Wheel And Column Removal/Installation - With Advanced Keyless Entry And Push Button Start System
c. Column cover See: Steering and Suspension/Steering/Steering Column/Steering Column Cover/Service and Repair
d. Clock spring See: Restraint Systems/Air Bag Systems/Clockspring Assembly / Spiral Cable/Service and Repair
3. Disconnect the connectors.
4. Remove the screws.
5. Remove the combination switch.
6. Install in the reverse order of removal.
Wiper And Washer Switch Removal/Installation
WIPER AND WASHER SWITCH REMOVAL/INSTALLATION
1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
2. Remove the column cover. See: Steering and Suspension/Steering/Steering Column/Steering Column Cover/Service and Repair
3. Remove in the order indicated in the table.
