Neutral Safety Switch: Testing and Inspection

NEUTRAL SWITCH INSPECTION [L5]

Continuity Inspection

1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.

2. Remove the neutral switch.  See: Powertrain Management/Transmission Control Systems/Sensors and Switches - Transmission and

Drivetrain/Sensors and Switches - M/T/Gear Sensor/Switch/Service and Repair

3. Inspect for continuity between the neutral switch terminals using an ohmmeter.
