Clutch Disc: Testing and Inspection

CLUTCH DISC INSPECTION

1. Refer to CLUTCH UNIT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION to remove the clutch disc.  See: Service and Repair

2. Using vernier calipers, measure the thickness of the lining at a rivet head on both sides.

If it less than the minimum specification, replace the clutch disc.  See: Service and Repair

Minimum clutch disc thickness

0.3 mm {0.01 in}

3. Measure the clutch disc runout using a dial indicator.

If it exceeds the maximum specification, replace the clutch disc.  See: Service and Repair
