6 V6-3.0L DOHC (2003)
Special Tools:
There are three (3) special tools required to conduct the inspection and repairs. One (1) set of tools were shipped free of charge to each dealer on Dec. 1,
2003. Do not attempt to conduct the inspection or repairs without the special tools.
B. Inspection Procedure
NOTE:
Prior to starting the Inspection Procedure, make certain the Check Engine Light turns off when the engine is started. If the Check Engine Light does
not turn off, do not perform the procedure until the DTC(s) are identified and the concern(s) are resolved.
CAUTION:

The following Inspection Procedure must be performed in a well ventilated area, away from direct sunlight, flames, or sparks.

Gasoline is very flammable, use extreme caution when working near or around gasoline.

Appropriate hand and eye protection must be worn when working with gasoline.
1.
Turn ignition switch to "ON" position.
2.
Using the fuel gauge in the meter set, check the amount of fuel in the tank.

If the fuel gauge reads less than 1/2 tank, proceed to the next step.

If the fuel gauge reads more than 1/2 tank, drain the fuel until the fuel gauge reads 1/2 or less.
