Refrigerant Pressure Sensor / Switch: Testing and Inspection
Refrigerant Pressure Sensor Inspection [Full-Auto Air Conditioner]
REFRIGERANT PRESSURE SENSOR INSPECTION [FULL-AUTO AIR CONDITIONER]
1. Install the manifold gauge.
2. Verify the high-pressure side reading of the manifold gauge.
3. Measure the terminal voltage of the PCM.
-
1AR, 1J or 1AE (L5)
-
1AT, 1M or 1BJ (MZI-3.7)
4. Verify that below graph as measure the terminal voltage 1J (L5), 1M (MZI-3.7).
5. Follow the PCM inspection when measure the other terminal voltage. See: Powertrain Management/Computers and Control Systems/Testing and
Inspection/Component Tests and General Diagnostics/PCM Inspection See: Powertrain Management/Computers and Control Systems/Testing and
Inspection/Component Tests and General Diagnostics/PCM Inspection
-
Terminal 1AR (L5), 1AT (MZI-3.7): 1.0 V or less
-
Terminal 1AE (L5), 1BJ (MZI-3.7): Approx. 5 V (Ignition switch on)
-
If the each voltage is not normal, inspect the related wiring harness.
-
If there is any malfunction, replace the related wiring harness.
-
If wiring harness is normal, replace the refrigerant pressure sensor.
