Accelerator Pedal Position Sensor: Testing and Inspection
ACCELERATOR PEDAL POSITION (APP) SENSOR INSPECTION [MZI-3.7]
Sensor Output Value Inspection
1. Switch the ignition to ON.
2. Inspect the following items using the PID/DATA monitor function. See: Computers and Control Systems/Testing and Inspection/Mode 6
Data/Diagnostic Monitoring Test Results

Verify that the sensor output value change smoothly while throttle valve is gradually depressed.

If verified, go to the next step.

If not as verified, replace the accelerator pedal. See: Fuel Delivery and Air Induction/Accelerator Pedal/Service and Repair

Verify that the sensor output value is as indicated in the table below according to the condition of the accelerator pedal.
