Remote Switch: Testing and Inspection

AUDIO CONTROL SWITCH INSPECTION

1. Switch the ignition to off.

2. Disconnect the negative battery cable wait for 1min more.

3. Remove the driver-side air bag module.  See: Restraint Systems/Air Bag Systems/Air Bag/Service and Repair/Removal and

4. Remove the steering wheel.  See: Steering and Suspension/Steering/Steering Column/Service and Repair/Steering Wheel And Column

5. Disconnect the audio control switch connector.  See: Service and Repair

6. Verify the resistance and continuity between the audio control switch terminals.

Without Bluetooth system

If the resistance and continuity are not as indicated in the tables, replace the audio control switch.

With Bluetooth system
