Power Steering Pump: Removal and Replacement
POWER STEERING OIL PUMP REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [MZI-3.7]
1. Remove the windshield wiper arm and blade. See: Wiper and Washer Systems/Wiper Arm/Service and Repair
2. Remove the cowl grill. See: Body and Frame/Cowl/Cowl Moulding / Trim/Service and Repair/Cowl Grille Removal/Installation
3. Remove the windshield wiper motor. See: Wiper and Washer Systems/Wiper Motor/Service and Repair/Removal and Replacement
4. Remove the power steering fluid reservoir from the tank bracket and then remove the tank bracket from the cowl panel as shown in the figure.
5. Remove the cowl panel. See: Body and Frame/Cowl/Cowl Moulding / Trim/Service and Repair/Cowl Panel Removal/Installation
6. Set the front mudguard (RH) out of the way. See: Body and Frame/Spoilers, Flaps, and Air Dams/Mud Flap/Service and Repair
7. Remove the splash shield (RH).
8. Set the power steering oil pump drive belt out of the way. See: Engine, Cooling and Exhaust/Engine/Drive Belts, Mounts, Brackets and
Accessories/Drive Belt/Service and Repair
9. Remove in the order indicated in the table.
10. Install in the reverse order of removal.
