Brake Rotor/Disc: Service and Repair
Rear

Brake Pads, Replace

1.

Raise and support rear of vehicle.

2.

Remove tire and wheel assembly.

3.

Remove caliper attaching bolts.

4.

Suspend caliper with a suitable piece of wire.

5.

Remove brake pads from caliper assembly.

6.

Reverse procedure to install.

Caliper, Replace

1.

Raise and support rear of vehicle.

2.

Remove tire and wheel assembly.

3.

Disconnect and cap brake lines.

4.

Remove caliper guide pin bolts and cover.

5.

Remove caliper assembly.

6.

Reverse procedure to install.

Caliper Overhaul

    When overhauling caliper assembly, refer to Fig. 13. Reverse numerical disassembly sequence for assembly.
