Cylinder Head Gasket
DESCRIPTION
A new type of cylinder head gasket with a special type of resin has been introduced
for the 626 diesel engine. The resin tends to harden when exposed to air, heat or direct sunlight. For these reasons, please
observe the following precautions when handling the gasket.
1.
Do not break the vacuum sealed package until the gasket is ready for installation.
2.
Store the gasket in the sealed package in a cool place.
3.
Do not expose the gasket to direct sunlight because the resin will be hardened even if the gasket is kept in the sealed package.
If the above precautions are not observed and the resin is hardened by exposure to air, heat or direct sunlight, insufficient sealing will occur, resulting in
coolant or off leakage.
