D. 626 1983-1987 MODEL YEAR.
1.
Remove the rear seat cushion.
2.
Remove the rear seat back. (Except 5-Door Hatchback or folding seat)
3.
Remove the rear outer and inner lap belts.
4.
Remove the rear pillar trim caps. (5-Door Hatchback)
5.
Remove the rear package tray and make 0.98 in. (25 mm) diameter holes in it as shown in illustration. (Except 5-Door Hatchback)
6.
Install the rear package tray (except 5-Door Hatchback).
7.
Reinstall the rear seat. (except 5-Door or folding seat)
8.
Install the new rear outer and inner lap belts and shoulder belts as shown in illustration.
NOTE:
^ Spacer Thickness (*) 0.20 In. (5 mm) (2HT & 4SD) 0.39 In. (10 mm) (5HB)
^
Specified tightening torque: (**) 28-58 ft.lb. (3.9-8.0 m-Kg, 38-78 N-m)
