DESCRIPTION
Toyo Kogyo Co., Ltd. has decided to voluntarily recall certain 1978-1983 GLC and 1979- 1982 626 models sold in the U.S. to check and retighten, if
necessary, front seat belt anchorage bolts, specifically upper torso bolts which were improperly installed on a limited number of vehicles.
We decided to take positive action on this matter to emphasize to Mazda customers our concern for their safety while driving. This campaign is being
conducted to inspect the front seat belt upper torso anchorage bolts for proper installation and to properly retighten these bolts, if necessary. The seat belt
should also be tested for proper operation after retightening anchorage bolts.
Your utmost effort is requested in understanding our attention to the safety of the customers and also in furthering this campaign.
