BLUE-GREEN WIRE CHECK AT COMPRESSOR CLUTCH CONNECTOR

Step 23. Check the blue-green wire for power at the compressor clutch connector.

CHECKING RESULTS

A.

If no power exists, check the blue-green wire for a loss of continuity between the frost switch connector and compressor clutch connector.

B.

If power exists, repair or replace the magnetic clutch.

Problem:Cooling Fan and Condenser Fan Inoperative - (Pages 21 - 24)626 Gasoline

Test Conditions:

(1) Key at "ON" (engine off)
(2)

Fan speed at "1"

(3)

A/C switch "ON"

Important:

(1) The A/C indicator light should be on. If it is not on or flashing, see "Compressor Clutch Inoperative" before proceeding.
(2)

The cooling fan and condenser fan should operate continuously whenever the A/C and fan switches are on.

WATER TEMPERATURE SWITCH LOCATION

Step 1. Disconnect the water temperature switch connector.

CHECKING RESULTS

A.

If both fans operate, reconnect the water temperature switch connector and proceed to Step 3.

B.

If both fans do not operate, reconnect the water temperature switch connector and proceed to Step 2.

C.

If only the cooling fan operates, reconnect the water temperature switch connector and proceed to Step 5.

D.

If only the condenser fan operates, reconnect the water temperature switch connector and proceed to Step 2.
