A/C RELAY CHECK
B.
If power exists, follow the (3) steps below in order to troubleshoot the A/C relay #1.
(1)
Remove A/C Relay #1 from connector.
(2)
Apply 12 volts to terminals 1 & 2 as shown.
(3)
Using OHM meter, check for continuity between terminals 3 & 4 as shown.
^
If continuity exists, reconnect the A/C relay #1 and proceed to Step 4.
^
If no continuity exists, replace the relay.
A/C RELAY #1 CONNECTOR CHECK
Step 4. Ground the yellow-green wire at the A/C relay #1 connector.
CHECKING RESULTS
A.
If the cooling fan motor does not operate, check the yellow-green wire for a loss of continuity between the cooling fan motor connector and the
A/C relay #1 connector.
B.
If the cooling fan motor operates, check both black wires of A/C relay #1 for a loss of continuity between ground to connector.
LIGHT/GREEN-RED WIRE CHECK ATCONDENSOR FAN MOTOR CONNECTOR
Step 5. Check the light/green-red wire for power at the condenser fan motor connector.
CHECKING RESULTS
A.
If power exists, proceed to Step 6.
B.
If no power exists, check the light/green-red wire for a loss of continuity between the ignition relay connector and the condenser fan motor
connector.
