SPEEDOMETER CABLE

REPAIR PROCEDURE

1.

Remove the speedometer cable from the driven gear.

SCREW-IN AND CLIP-ON CONNECTOR

If the driven gear has a clip-on type connector, replace it with a screw-in type (P/N (G402 17 400A). If the driven gear has a screw-in type
connector, go to step 3.

Note:

The driven gear which has a screw-in type connector has been installed at production line since January 20,1983.

RUBBER GROMMET AT FIREWALL

3.

Remove the rubber grommet at the firewall.

4.

Using a screwdriver, remove the resin grommet from the engine side of the firewall.
