Start engine.  Ensure battery voltage at choke thermostat.

If no voltage was present in step #7 refer to Starting and Charging/Starting System/Diagrams.

If voltage was present in step #7 and choke valve clearance does not increase with engine temperature, replace choke thermostat assembly.
