Clutch Pedal Assembly: Adjustments
1.
Freeplay of the clutch pedal before the pushrod contacts the master cylinder piston, on all except 626, RX-7, B2000 & B2200 models, should be
.040-.120 inch.
2.
Clutch pedal height should measure as follows: RX-7, 7.5 inches; 1984-85 626, 8.43 inches; 1984-85 B2000, 8.07 inches; B2200, 8.45 inches.
3.
Clutch pedal freeplay should measure .08-.12 inch on 1984-85 626 models, or .02-.12 inch on all other models.
4.
Adjust clutch pedal height by loosening locknut and turning stop bolt on clutch switch until specified height is reached.
5.
On all except 1984-85 626 models, adjust clutch pedal freeplay by loosening locknut and turning pushrod until specified freeplay is obtained.
6.
On 1984-85 626 models, adjust clutch pedal freeplay by loosening locknut, then depressing lever and turning adjusting nut until clearance is as
specified. Tighten locknut after making any adjustments.
