RADIATOR UPPER HOSE

Check the clearance between the radiator and body.

If the radiator is found to be pressed to the body when the upper bracket is removed, move the radiator away from the body by cutting the radiator
upper hose 5-10 mm from the end.

RIGHT AND LEFT SPLASH SHIELD

Replace the driveshaft.

a.

Remove both right and left driveshafts.  Refer to the drive shaft removal procedures in the 1983 626 workshop manual page 8:4 through
8:8.

b.

Cut both right and left splash shields as shown to prevent interference with the new driveshaft.
