Check and adjust the idle speed.

a.

Warm up the engine until normal operating temperature.

b.

Check to see that the idle speed is at 700 rpm in "D" with cooling fan and accessories off. Adjust with the throttle adjust screw, if
necessary.

c.

Adjust the throttle opener as shown in the 1983 626 workshop manual, page 1A:38 and confirm that the idle speed is maintained to 700
rpm in "D" with the air conditioner compressor engaged.
