FRONT SEAT TRIM MATERIAL LOOKS WORN-OUT - DUE TO SNAGGING
AFFECTED VINS
This bulletin applies to 1992-93 4 cylinder models with a VIN of JM1EC****N0208195 or lower produced through August 31, 1992.
This bulletin does not apply to 1992-93 4 cylinder models with a VIN equal to or greater than of JM1EC****N0208196 and produced after August 31,
1992.
DESCRIPTION
On some vehicles, the front seat cushion and back trim may look worn and show signs of snagging. This is due to the trim material being loosely woven
with no protective coating.
Beginning with the September 1, 1992 production date, the front seat trim material has been modified. To prevent snagging which could result in the trim
looking worn-out, the trim has been coated with a protective resin.
REPAIR PROCEDURE
If the above condition exists, replace the front seat cushion and back trim with the modified part.
Removal and Installation procedures are outlined in Section S of the applicable Workshop Manual.
