Brake Light Switch: Testing and Inspection

1.  

Disconnect the brake light switch switch connector.

Check for continuity of the switch with an ohmmeter.  With the brake pedal depressed, there should be continuity between the switch terminals. 
With the brake pedal released, there should be no continuity between the switch terminals.

3.  

Reconnect the brake light switch connector after testing.
