SUNROOF SUNSHADE RATTLE

APPLICABLE MODELS/VINS
All 1993 - 94 626 with a sunroof.
1995 626 with a sunroof and a VIN of 1YVGE22**S5393550 and lower.

DESCRIPTION

A rattle noise may be heard from the sunroof shade area during normal driving. This noise may be caused by improper clearance between the sunshade
guide clips and the frame grooves.

Modified sunshade guide clips are available to correct this concern. Customers complaining of this noise should have the modified clips installed.

REPAIR PROCEDURE

1.

Verify the complaint.

If the noise is coming from the sunshade area, proceed to step 2.

If the noise is not coming from the sunshade area, refer to the NVH manual or workshop manual for diagnostic and repair information.

Open the sunshade fully.

3.

Remove the four (4) glass panel mounting screws. Requires a torx tool (T25).

Remove the glass panel from the position plates.

NOTE:

Do not discard any shims that may have been installed during production.

CAUTION:

Use care not to damage the vehicle body or the sunroof glass.
