Fuel Pressure Release: Service and Repair
Warning: Fuel vapor is hazardous. It can very easily ignite, causing serious injury and damage. Always keep sparks and flames away from fuel.
Warning: Fuel line spills and leaks are dangerous. Fuel can ignite and cause serious injuries or death and damage. Fuel can also irritate skin
and eyes. To prevent this, always complete the following "Fuel Line Safety Procedures". See: Powertrain Management/Fuel Delivery and Air

NOTE: Fuel in the fuel system is under high pressure when the engine is not running. Release the fuel pressure before disconnecting a fuel line.
Fuel Pressure Release Procedure
1. Start the engine.
2. Remove the fuel pump relay.
3. After the engine stalls, turn the ignition switch to OFF.
4. Install the fuel pump relay.
