Clockspring Assembly / Spiral Cable: Service and Repair

PURPOSE

Ensures uninterrupted electrical connection to air bag module in steering wheel hub while allowing turning of steering wheel.

Warning:

Handling the air bag module improperly can accidently deploy the air bag, which may seriously injure you. Read SERVICE WARNINGS
before handling the air bag module.  See: Service Precautions

1.  Carry out the "Before Servicing" procedure under GENERAL PROCEDURES.
2.  Remove the driver-side air bag module.  See: Air Bag/Service and Repair
