Alignment: Service and Repair
Pre-Alignment Inspection

1. Ensure tire pressure is as specified by manufacturer.
2. Inspect front wheel bearing for play and replace if necessary.
3. Inspect wheel and tire runout.
4. Inspect ball joints and steering linkage for excessive looseness and repair or replace as necessary.
5. Ensure vehicle is level and has no luggage or passenger load.
6. Check vehicle ride height as outlined in "Vehicle Ride Height.
7. Repeatedly press down on corners of vehicle to check operation of shock absorbers.
