2. Check wheel bearing endplay as follows:
a. Position dial indicator against bearing cap as shown in Fig. 1.
b. Push and pull brake disc plate by hand in axial direction and measure endplay.
c. If endplay exceeds 0.0079 inch, replace wheel bearing.
3. Remove bearing cap and locknut, Fig. 3.

4. Remove caliper assembly, disc plate, wheel speed sensor and dust cover.
5. Disconnect trailing and lateral links at knuckle spindle.
6. Remove knuckle spindle to shock absorber mounting bolts, then knuckle spindle.
7. Using hydraulic press, or equivalent, remove bearing assembly from disc plate. Do not remove hub bolts and/or sensor rotor unless necessary.
8. Reverse procedure to install, noting the following:
a. If hub bolts and/or sensor rotor were removed, do
not reuse.
b. Tighten all bolts and nuts to specifications.
c. Loosely tighten lateral link, trailing link and shock absorber bolts and nuts, then lower vehicle, and tighten bolts and nuts to specifications with
vehicle unloaded.
