Oil Pressure Warning Lamp/Indicator: Description and Operation

The oil pressure warning light illuminates to alert the driver of a low oil pressure condition. When the oil pressure drops below a certain level, the
oil pressure switch closes, applying ground to the oil pressure warning light.
