Wheel Speed Sensor: Service and Repair
Rear

REPLACEMENT

1. Jack up the vehicle and support it on safety stands.
2. Remove the wheel and tire assembly.
3. Remove in the order shown in the figure.
4. Install in the reverse order of removal.
5. Install the wheel and tire assembly.
6. Verify that the diagnostic trouble codes have been canceled. See: Brakes and Traction Control/Antilock Brakes / Traction Control Systems/Testing

and Inspection 

Inspection
1. Check resistance at the ABS wheel-speed sensor terminals.

Resistance: 1.6-2.0 K Ohms.

2. If not as specified, replace the ABS wheel-speed sensor.
