REAR SHOCK ABSORBER AND COIL SPRING REMOVAL/INSTALLATION
NOTE: During routine inspection, varying degrees of oil wetness may be noticed on the rear shock absorber. If there is a thin oily film or sheen on
the top of the shock absorber near the piston, it may be a normal condition, with no ride or handling performance concerns. If this is the case, do not
replace the shock absorber. A heavy oil film along with droplets of oil below the lower spring seat is considered an abnormal condition. The shock
absorber should be replaced if this condition is detected.
1. Remove the rear package trim.
2. Remove in the order indicated in the table.
3. Install in the reverse order of removal.
Coil Spring Installation Note
1. Temporarily install the coil spring, upper spring seat, and mounting rubber on the shock absorber as shown.
