Idler Gear: Service and Repair

DISASSEMBLY

Disassemble in the order shown in the illustration, referring to the following notes.

Locknut

1. Secure the SST and the idler gear assembly in a vise.
2. Remove the locknut.

Bearing Race

Remove the bearing race from the idler gear by using the Special Service Tool (SST).

ASSEMBLY 

1. Assemble in the reverse order of disassembly, referring to the following steps.
