Overdrive Off Indicator Light: Testing and Inspection

Operation

1. Turn the ignition switch from ON.

NOTE:  The O/D OFF indicator light will flash if a malfunction exists in any of the EC-AT system components.

2. Verify that the O/D OFF indicator light is not illuminated.

3. Depress the switch and verify that the O/D OFF indicator illuminates.
4. If the O/D OFF switch function is not as specified, after checking the O/D OFF switch check the terminal voltage of the O/D OFF indicator light.

Voltage

1. Remove the instrument cluster.
2. Turn the ignition switch to ON.

3. Measure voltage between terminal 2G and a ground.

Continuity

1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
2. Disconnect the instrument cluster connector.

3. Check continuity between terminal 1N and powertrain control module terminal 1B.

4. If not correct, check the wiring harness (instrument cluster to powertrain control module).
5. If correct, go to the next step.
