CHATTER NOISE FROM SUNROOF

DESCRIPTION 
A chattering noise that comes from the sunroof area may be caused by a broken washer that is located behind the sun roof position plate. The washer has
been modified to prevent breakage and is established as a service part.

REPAIR PROCEDURES 
If the chattering noise is heard, inspect the position plate washer for breakage. If broken follow the repair procedures below.

1.

Remove the sunroof panel from the body. Refer to Section S of the workshop manual for removal and installation procedures.

2.

Remove the pin securing the position plate and remove the washer. 

NOTE: 

This pin is used only in vehicle production and is not required after removal.

3.

Replace the washer with a new part.
