Camshaft: Service and Repair
Assembly

Camshaft

1. Apply clean engine oil to the camshaft journals and the rollers of the rocker arms.
2. Install the camshafts.

Camshaft cap

1. Apply silicone sealant lightly to the front camshaft cap mounting surfaces as shown.
2. Install the camshaft caps according to the identification marks on them.

Meanings of the marks:

R Right cylinder head
I

Intake side
