Fuel Injector: Testing and Inspection
Leakage Test
Injector Leakage Test
WARNING: Be extremely careful when working with fuel. Keep sparks and open flames away.
1.
Remove fuel distributor with injectors as shown. Unplug electrical connectors.
2.
Connect data link connector terminals F/P and GND with jumper wire. Turn ignition ON.
3.
Verify that no fuel leaks from injector nozzles.
NOTE: Leakage of one drop after one minute is acceptable.
4.
Replace any leaking injectors.
