Throttle Cable/Linkage: Service and Repair

Accelerator Pedal And Throttle Cable

1.

Remove cable from throttle lever.

2.

Loosen adjustment nuts and remove cable from bracket on intake manifold.

3.

Compress tabs and push cable through firewall toward engine compartment.  Remove cable from vehicle.

5.

Install in reverse order.

6.

If cable free play exceeds 0.04 - 0.12 in (1 - 3 mm), adjust as needed by re-positioning adjusting nuts on threaded portion of cable sheath at throttle
body.
