Throttle Position Sensor: Testing and Inspection
VARIABLE RESISTOR
Throttle Position Sensor Check
1.
Connect SST, or equivalent, to PCME as shown.
2.
Set SST (Engine Signal Monitor) to terminal 2F. Turn ignition ON.
3.
Rotate throttle link by hand and ensure voltage is within specification:
Fully closed: 0.1 - 1.1V
Fully open: 3.0 - 4.3V
4.
If not as specified, adjust sensor and recheck. Refer to Adjustments.
5.
If still out of specification after adjustment, replace sensor.
