a. Position brake caliper aside using a piece of wire, leaving brake hose connected.
b. If driveshaft is stuck in the hub, install a used nut until it is flush with end of shaft. Tap nut with a copper hammer to drive out shaft.
c. Using a Hydraulic Press and Oil Seal Installer tool No. 49-V001-795, or equivalent, remove axle flange from hub assembly.
d. Do not damage axle flange. Grind a section of the bearing race until only 0.0197 inch (0.5 mm) thickness remains, then cut race by using a
chisel and remove it.
2. Reverse numerical order shown in Fig. 4 and 5 for installation of components, noting the following:
a. On 1993 models, torque new hub nut to 174 - 231 ft.lb., then stake nut as shown in Fig. 6.

b. On 1994-95 models, torque new hub nut to 174 - 231 ft.lb., then stake nut as shown in Fig. 7.
