Thermostat: Service and Repair

1.

Drain engine coolant, then remove lower radiator hose from thermostat housing.

2.

Remove thermostat housing from engine block, then thermostat.

3.

Reverse procedure to install, noting the following:
a. Clean gasket material from mating surfaces.
b. Install new gasket.
c. Torque retaining bolts to 14-19 ft. lbs.
