DESCRIPTION
The clutch hub assembly and synchronizer rings have been modified to improve the shift quality of the R-type transmission. If your customer reports
hard shifting after cold weather starts, replacement synchronizer rings and clutch hub assemblies may be necessary.

Before repairing, check the vehicle you are servicing to determine transmission type. Figure 1. The R-Type transmission is a manual transmission
with a removable oil pan.

Follow the Repair Procedure outlined in this bulletin for proper parts identification and installation.
REPAIR PROCEDURE
1.
Refer to the Parts Information table for matching clutch hub assemblies to synchronizer rings.
