2008 B-Series vehicles with VINs produced between June 4, 2007 and December 14, 2007
DESCRIPTION
Some 2008 vehicles equipped with a remote keyless entry (RKE) may exhibit an inoperative RKE transmitter (key fob) due to a discharged battery in the
key fob. This may be caused by an internal issue with the key fob software.
Customers having this concern should have their vehicle repaired using the following repair procedure.
REPAIR PROCEDURE
1.
Verify customer concern.
NOTE:
Performing this procedure will have no effect on key fob range.
2.
Refer to APPLICABLE MODELS for build date range.

If the vehicle was built within the date range, continue with this Service Bulletin.

If the vehicle was NOT built within the date range, continue normal diagnostics using the Workshop Manual.
3.
Look at the back of the key fob.

If the part number for the key fob (3 button) is 8L3T-15K601-AA, continue with this Service Bulletin.
^
If the part number for the key fob (3 button) is NOT 8L3T-15K601-AA, continue normal diagnostics using the Workshop Manual.
