6. Install the clockspring electrical connectors.

Install the ground wire.

Connect the electrical connectors. Install the pin-type retainers and electrical connectors to the bracket.

7. Attach the clockspring wire harness to the wiring retainer.
8. Reposition the upper steering column shroud.
9. Position the lower steering column shroud and install the 3 screws.

10. Install the tilt wheel handle and shank.
11. Position the steering column opening finish panel reinforcement and install the 4 bolts.

Tighten to 12 N.m (9 lb.ft).

12. Align the lower steering column opening finish panel and push in, seating the retaining clips. Then install the 2 screws.
13. Position the hood release handle. Install the 2 screws.
14. Install the ignition lock cylinder. See IGNITION LOCK CYLINDER - FUNCTIONAL.

NOTE:  Make sure the wheels are in the straight-ahead position.

15. Install the steering wheel. See STEERING WHEEL.
16. Install the driver air bag module. See DRIVER AIR BAG MODULE.
17. Repower the SRS. See DEPOWERING AND REPOWERING.
