5. Install the axle shaft.
Wheel Bearing and Oil Seal Rear (Limited Slip) Removal / Installation
WHEEL BEARING AND OIL SEAL REAR (LIMITED SLIP) REMOVAL / INSTALLATION
Removal Note
1. Remove the axle shaft.
Note:
-
If the wheel bearing oil seal is leaking, the axle housing vent may be plugged with debris.
2. Use impact slide hammer SST, rear axle bearing remover SST and adapter SST to remove the rear axle bearing and wheel bearing oil seal.
Installation Note
1. Lubricate the new rear wheel bearing with lubricant.
2. Use driver handle SST and axle tube bearing replacer SST to install the rear wheel bearing.
3. Lubricate the lip of the new wheel bearing oil seal with appropriate grease.
4. Use driver handle SST and axle tube bearing replacer SST to install the inner wheel bearing oil seal.
5. Install the axle shaft.
