Child Seat Tether Attachment: Service and Repair
CHILD SAFETY SEAT TETHER ANCHOR
1. Deactivate the supplemental restraint system (SRS), see SUPPLEMENTAL RESTRAINT SYSTEM (SRS) DEACTIVATION AND
REACTIVATION.
2. Remove the affected seat.
3. On vehicles equipped with a bucket seat or 40 percent bench, remove the bolts and the child safety seat tether anchor.
4. On vehicles equipped with a 60 percent bench, remove the 60 percent bench seat, see SEAT BACKREST FRONT - 60 PERCENT BENCH
REMOVAL / INSTALLATION.
5. Remove the bolts and the child safety seat tether anchor.
6. Install in reverse order of removal.
