Reverse Servo Assembly Removal / Installation

REVERSE SERVO ASSEMBLY REMOVAL / INSTALLATION

When the battery has been disconnected and reconnected, some abnormal drive symptoms can occur while the vehicle relearns its adaptive
strategy. The customer needs to be notified that they may experience slightly different upshifts either soft or firm and this is a temporary condition
and will eventually return to normal operating condition.

1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
2. Raise and support the vehicle.
3. Drain the transmission fluid.
4. Remove the bolt.

5. Remove the oil strainer.
6. Remove the bolts.

7. Remove the reverse band servo cover and gasket. Discard the reverse servo separator plate cover casket.

8. Remove the reverse band servo piston and rod and the reverse servo piston return spring.

Installation Note 
1. Clean and inspect the reverse servo piston bore and the reverse band servo piston and rod.
