Front Crankshaft Seal: Service and Repair
REMOVAL
1. Remove the drive belt.
2. Recover the refrigerant from the A/C system.
3. Remove the four A/C compressor bolts and position the A/C compressor aside.
4. Remove the A/C compressor and power steering pump mounting bracket bolts and position aside with the hoses attached.
5. Remove the water pump pulley.
6. Remove crankshaft pulley.
7. Remove the timing belt outer cover bolt.

Release the seven cover interlocking tabs and remove cover.
8. Remove the timing belt.
9. Remove the timing belt pulley from the crankshaft.
10. Remove the front oil seal using the seal remover (SST# 49 UN01 080) and a slide hammer (SST# 49 0223 630B).
INSTALLATION
1. Install the front oil seal using the Cam and Auxiliary Shaft Seal Replacer T74P-6150-A, or equivalent.
2. Reverse the order of removal for the remaining components.

Tighten the timing belt outer cover to 8-12 Nm (6-8 ft. lbs.)
3. Check the ignition timing.
