6. Insert a small drift or suitable tool through the hole in the side of the pump housing. Push inward on the valve cover retaining ring. While applying
pressure to the retaining ring, place a screwdriver under the edge of the ring and remove the ring.
Lower Plate, Disc Spring (15 & 16)
1. Place the pump housing on a flat surface.
2. Raise slightly and slam the housing plate down flatly until the lower plate and disc spring fall out.
Shaft Seal, Retainer (17 & 18)
Remove the rotor shaft seal and the seal retainer simultaneously by prying out with a screwdriver.
NOTE: Only use this method when the pump is disassembled.
